A Celebration of Craft, Confidence, and Collaboration
The Monoxide x Meg collaboration is a celebration of individuality, strength, and artistry, where timeless silhouettes meet statement jewelry designed to empower. Both brands share a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the women who bring each piece to life with their own style and story.

Meet the Founder:
Tyler Ferguson
For Tyler Ferguson, jewelry is more than adornment, it’s a language.Through MONOXIDE, the Toronto-born designer translates emotion and authenticity into sculptural pieces that feel both intimate and empowering. Her work captures the poetry of imperfection, turning metal and form into modern relics of self-expression.
Raised between Canada and the Bahamas, Tyler is a product of vibrant duality, grounded in Caribbean warmth and shaped by global perspective.
She lovingly refers to herself as “Cabajayan” a blend of Canadian, Bahamian, and Jamaican, a playful nod to the rich cultural tapestry that informs her vision.
A storyteller at heart, Tyler’s first passion was writing. But years spent immersed in her family’s wholesale retail and jewelry business revealed a new way to tell stories, not through words, but through wearable art.
With MONOXIDE, she crafts visual narratives that shimmer with honesty and individuality, each piece a reflection of the person who wears it.
A Shared Vision
Like Meg, MONOXIDE champions authenticity, confidence, and a deep appreciation for craft. This collaboration feels like the meeting of two creative forces driven by the same philosophy, celebrating self-expression through timeless design.
As we launch this exciting partnership, we sat down with Tyler to talk about her creative process, her inspirations, and what this collaboration means to her.

Meg: Tell us a little about your background…How did you first fall into making jewelry and ultimately creating MONOXIDE?
Tyler: MONOXIDE was launched in the summer of 2012, and it all started with a broken piece of jewelry! Instead of throwing it away, I tried to fix it myself, and just like that, a fire was lit. MONOXIDE was born, and I found myself at the local bead store buying supplies. At first, I reimagined vintage pieces into modern treasures and taught myself design through the disassembly of each one. As demand grew, I shifted from creating one-of-a-kind pieces to developing full collections.
Meg: What inspires MONOXIDE, and how do you approach the process of bringing each new collection to life?
Tyler: I draw inspiration from stories, art, colour, and nature. My process is very organic, I don’t really sketch. I start by creating samples by hand in my studio and then refine and fine-tune the design until I’m happy with it. I’m always conscious of the collection as a whole because I want my pieces to be worn together and also blend seamlessly with past designs. Ultimately, I want each piece to fit effortlessly into my client’s personal style story.
Meg: Your pieces carry a strong sense of individuality and storytelling. How do you hope people feel when wearing MONOXIDE?
Tyler: I love the balance of hard and soft, the duality that runs through all my designs. My pieces are meant to take you “from day to slay” from the boardroom to dinner with ease. When someone wears MONOXIDE, I want them to feel like they can take on anything and look fabulous while doing it. I want them to feel like the main character in their story.
Meg: Tell us more about this collaboration! What does it mean to you as a young Canadian designer?
Tyler: MEG has been such a force in our industry for so long, this collaboration truly feels like a dream come true. She’s captured the essence of womanhood: that we’re multifaceted beings and our clothes need to move like we do.Her designs can be worn anywhere, for any occasion, so our brands overlap seamlessly.

Meg: How do you envision this partnership coming to life, and which pieces are your personal favourites to pair with Meg’s?
Tyler: I’m so excited to see how the MEG woman styles MONOXIDE! Everyone has their own take on fashion, and I love that. Personally, I’m obsessed with Meg’s Cape Jacket in Charcoal and the Casablanca Tee. I think both would look phenomenal paired with our Rory Choker and Kira XL Earrings. But honestly, the styling options are endless!
Meg: Looking back at your journey, what has been the most defining moment for you as a designer and entrepreneur?
Tyler: I’ve been fortunate to experience so many highs in my career, but a standout moment as a designer would be the first time I was featured in Elle Magazine! And later, attending London Fashion Week and being featured in Forbes. From a business standpoint, getting MONOXIDE into The Bay was a huge milestone for me.

Meg: Where do you envision MONOXIDE in the next five years, and what are your aspirations for the brand’s future?
Tyler: In the next five years, I’d love to focus on more collaborations with brands and individuals I admire and who align with MONOXIDE’s vision.I also plan to expand more deeply into the European market.
Meg: Do you have a favourite piece you’ve designed that feels especially personal, and what story does it carry for you?
Tyler: I really love the Rory Choker, it’s the piece I reach for every time I’m putting together a look. It’s classic, timeless, and goes with everything. I don’t see it going out of style anytime soon.

Meg: Which piece from Meg’s F/W25 collection made you think, “Yes, I need to collaborate here!” And which one would be your personal favourite to wear?
Tyler: I’m obsessed with the Cape Jacket in Charcoal.I can already picture styling it with layers of chain necklaces, sheer tights, and thigh-high boots. It’s the perfect mix of chic and bold! Very MONOXIDE meets MEG.

This collaboration reflects everything Meg stands for! Authenticity, craftsmanship, and women creating for women.Together, Meg and MONOXIDE have built something that feels both fresh and timeless, empowering and deeply personal.
It’s a meeting of creative minds who share a love of detail, design, and the quiet confidence that comes from pieces made with intention.
