The Michelle Obama-Approved Trick to Looking Fashion Forward

While we thoroughly appreciate the joys of getting dressed, we understand the process is not always without conundrum. Fortunately, styling and getting dressed is our bread and butter so we come bearing solutions.

The Conundrum

You're into fashion, you're thoughtful about your outfits, but you can only afford so much time and effort. Or perhaps you need a look that says "I'm fabulous and I know exactly how to put together an outfit" even if you have no idea what you're doing.

The Solution

If, like us, your eyes were glued to inauguration coverage on January 20, 2021, you might have noticed a trend amongst the notable women in attendance including Michelle Obama and Madame Vice President Kamala Harris herself: monochrome dressing. Sure, they have well-earned access to stylists and couture, but the most striking aspect of their looks is something we can all pull off- just wear all one color. It looks thoughtful, put together, and even expensive. Variations in tone work great too.

Try pairing an ivory mock neck sweater with the Raul Pant in soy.

Wearing one color head-to-toe is so easy, yet so effective and striking.

Monochrome dressing is also great way to elevate your loungewear. Why not try this stylish trend at home?

This particular sweater is lightweight and sleek without sacrificing the cozy factor and is great for layering.  The Raul Pants are just as appropriate for brunch as they are for curling up on the couch.
